Smashing Pumpkins Rumored to Bring the Light — Down Under.

There have been some rumors floating around the internet that the Pumpkins are slotted to bring the rock to the Aussies in 2008. Today’s Australian Undercover Blog is fanning those flames.
According to Undercover:
Smashing Pumpkins are tipped to headline the 2nd annual V Festival in Australia, starting March 29, 2008 in Sydney.
The full set of V Festival dates are as follows. Of course the Pumpkins’ appearance is still in the “to be confirmed” file:
March 29, 2008 – Sydney
March 30, 2008 – Gold Coast
April 5, 2008 – Melbourne
April 6, 2008 – Perth
Judging by all the Virgin-related appearances this year, it seems as though the Mighty SP have sold out to British mogul and kajillionaire, Richard Branson (pictured at right).
Maybe we’ll have to add a new planet to the upcoming tour?
